English Speech about Discipline by Cecep Gaos
Assalamu’alaikum
Wr.Wb.
The honorable juries and MC,
The honorable teachers and parents,
My beloved brothers and sisters,
Ladies and gentlemen,
First
of all, let us praise to the Almighty Allah SWT, because of His Blessing we are
able to attend this English speech contest. Secondly, may peace be upon the
prophet Muhammad SAW who has guided us
from the darkness into the brightness.
I would
also like to say many thanks to the juries and MC who have given me the opportunity to deliver an English speech
in front of you all.
Ladies and
Gentlemen,
Before delivering this speech, I
would like to introduce my self. My name is …….. I am ……. years
old. I am from ……….. School, grade …...
In this
good occasion I would like to deliver a speech entitled “The Importance of Discipline”.
Ladies and
Gentlemen,
Before continuing this speech, it is important to
explain what the discipline is. What is the definition? What is the meaning of
discipline?
According to the Oxford Dictionary, discipline is
training or control, often using a system of punishment, aimed at producing
obedience to rules.
Ladies and Gentlemen,
As we all know, discipline is one of the eighteen
values of character education that should be taught or inserted in teaching
learning process at school since academic year 2011. So, discipline is very
important. Why is discipline very important? The answer is because with
discipline most anything is possible. With discipline, we can be a successful
person. With discipline, we can be a great student. With discipline, we can be
a great and developed nation.
Ladies and
Gentlemen,
Talking about discipline, we can take the example from
Japan resurrection or awakening. Japan has ever
fallen down in the end of World War 2, but he can rise and become a developed
and powerful nation lesser than forty years. One of the reasons is because
Japanese is very discipline.
Ladies and
Gentlemen, My beloved
friends,
We, as students, in order to be good and successful
people, have to enforce discipline at school, home, and anywhere. At school for
example, we have to come on time, do the home works, put the garbage into the
trashcan, keep the cleanliness, obey and respect the teachers, and so on.
Ladies and
Gentlemen, My beloved
friends,
Eventually, I would like to persuade you to do
everything with discipline, because with discipline almost everything is
possible to be and to do.
Ladies and
Gentlemen,
I think that’s all of my speech. Hopefully, it will
be useful for us.
